The Ripple Effect 💛

Lately, we’ve simply been trying to love our neighbors the best we can.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been walking alongside a man who has gone through a difficult divorce and is currently without work. Through financial help, prayer, encouragement, and helping connect him with job opportunities, we’re believing this is the beginning of a fresh start for him. Sometimes helping someone doesn’t look huge from the outside…it just looks like showing up consistently when life gets heavy.

One of the coolest stories recently actually came from people being inspired to help others themselves. A young couple and their grandfather reached out and began helping a homeless man in our community. They gave rides, groceries, warm clothes, a microwave, and simply treated him with dignity and kindness.

Honestly, this is the heart behind Golden Rule Movement. The goal has never simply been for one organization to help people. The vision is bigger than that. We want to inspire everyday people to live out the Golden Rule in practical ways right where they are. To create a ripple effect of kindness, generosity, compassion, and action throughout our community.

That’s what makes stories like this so special. Watching people step up on their own, notice someone hurting, and choose to love their neighbor well. That’s what “love in action” looks like.

We’ve also been able to provide Wegmans gift cards to help support him with groceries and necessities. One moment that really stuck with us was hearing that he became emotional after finally having milk again for the first time in a long time. Something so small to most of us meant everything to him. Those are the moments that remind us why practical love matters.

And this is only the beginning. We’re currently working on some really unique opportunities that we’re excited to share soon…including ways to partner with and bless the incredible people at Homesteads for Hope.
